This has been out for a few months now and in my opinion is the best Mario Kart to date. The new tracks are pretty cool and the retro ones look awesome in their new polished graphics. Sadly, I have yet to try racing online since my router doesn't work with it and my cable is taking its time arriving.

I've tried some online play. It's pretty good, but has its limitations. Mario Kart's a great game.

The new tracks are excellent, especially Peach Gardens, Airship Fortress, DK Pass, Waluigi Stadium, Rainbow Road, Bowser's Castle...
Well.....a lot of them. I just can't stand it when I'm online and everyone's choosing tracks like the Figure-8 Circuit and Yoshi Falls. Those tracks suck and everyone but me loves them. Heck, even people who don't snake love the simple tracks! I feel so alone...
Ahem. Anyway. I think it could've been improved. You can't battle, you can't race some of the best tracks, you can't talk to each other, and you can only have four people. Sometimes it gets all glitchy too. But overall I love it. It's nice to be able to race with people who actually have some skill, i.e. NOT my little sister and cousins.

Yoshi Falls does suck and Figure 8 is boring. The new Rainbow Road is pretty good especially the loops but my favourite tracks would be Peach Gardens, Waluigi Pinball and Airship Fortress. I actually don't like the new Bowser's Castle, the rolling log annoys me and those moving platforms can be mean.

I like Yoshi Falls. It's easy to beat people on if you know the right stuff.

I sometimes use the waterfall route but I can fall off now and again that way so I usually take the bridges.

I've learned the right way to use that course. It's funny to watch people try to mimic me and fall off.

I just do a ton of mini turbos around the outer track that goes over the bridges.
It still sucks because it's just boring. The scenery is cool, but the track could use so much more interest.
The rolling log in Bowser's Castle is awesome. Until Wario speeds past you and knocks you clear off the edge.
I think Sky Garden is my favorite Retro track. It's awesome for such a flat track. I love the weird shortcut that some people don't know about. It would be awesome if they made a new track with the same kind of theme.

Or a Lightning nails you and causes both you and Daisy to fall off it. I think the GCN levels are brilliantly done for a DS game.

That's true, I can hardly tell the difference but it feels weird playing those tracks with only one person in a kart.

The cool thing is that you can jump over the little shortcut in Yoshi Circuit (except in 50cc). In DD, you couldn't jump, so the only way over was an item. Now you can just hop across. Those pirahna flowers suck pretty bad compared to the GCN ones. I know it's just the DS, but hey. They're 2d! They rotate when you drive around them! That's cheap. I think the egg in Yoshi Falls does that too, as well as a number of other things.
